I bought this cabinet with the intention to store my general garage items like car cleaning stuff, towels, and other various non-volatile chemicals, and it really cant even do that right. While this thing was pretty easy to build, the instructions were pretty lacking but once you get it started it all becomes clear as to how its supposed to go together. Mine came with some slight damage to the shelves where they were chipped off, but still usable so ill live with it.
The packing was OK, but there was still a LOT to throw out.
The assembly was easy once I figured out how to get it started, it was so simple it was almost childish.
The pieces are fairly sturdy but are not solid. After fully assembled I could pick up the whole thing with one arm with relative ease. It is a pretty large cabinet but there is no good appropriation of space due to the fact that it cannot be reconfigured in any way inside either the exception of moving the shelves. As with all things with pegs/tabs for shelving you are limited to where the put the slots, and with all the shelves in nothing seems to fit quite right, there is either too much or too little room. The right cabinet is one tall skinny cabinet with this little plastic multi-hook rack that I thought was a joke at first, but no, they really intend for it to be used there. Im not sure what they thought was the purpose of this skinny side was, but you just dont really keep that much long handled stuff in the garage to need this, they would have been better off giving a couple skinny shelves and putting the rack on the side. All the panels are made with the slots on one side so even if you wanted to use the extra clips and put in a pseudo custom shelf, you will have to cut the slots yourself as only one side of the panel has the slots.
I could see this working out well in a shed where its primarily things like gardening tools, gloves, small rakes, shovel and other things of the sort, but does not really have a practical use in the garage. I would still recommend this to someone who needed storage in their shed.
